Should a person you’re dating just pop up at your house unannounced?

I think this depends on how serious the relationship is. If it's a guy/girl you've been dating for like a week it could be a little strange of them to just pop up unannounced but if it's someone you've been with for quite a while and are in a serious relationship with it wouldn't be weird.

Its highly inappropriate and annoying. 
My old fwb used to do this if he had been drinking. Most of the time I didn’t let him in. I decided to do it back to him. He didn’t like it when i did it back to him though, i turned up knocking on his door at 3am after a night out just like he would do to me and he was annoyed, apparently I should have told him i was out, yet he never told me when he was... dickhead

It doesn’t depend on how serious you are, depends on how comfortable you are or if busy. Been dating my bf for 3+ years and I don’t let him come unannounced, I’m not doing anything sketchy I just don’t have time to entertain him if it’s unplanned. I like to look decent/good before seeing him, yes I spent weekends with him and vacations so I don’t necessarily wake up all ready so he has seen me like that but if it’s in my home I’d like him to respect my wishes just like any family or friend would and give me notice if I’m ok with it and available. It’s pretty much a boundary issue it falls in, but I’m a private person like that.

My husband did this the day after we met. 😆 just walked into my house. Caught me as I was waking back into my room after a shower. Probably weird af but I liked him a lot & never thought anything about it. 🤷🏽‍♀️ We weren't even technically officially dating. Lol

The first year, probably should let them know. If it's been 7years, then you should be comfortable with them enough for them to just show up
