So today marks the first month of having nexaplanon. After the first two weeks I went back and my doctor put in stitches because it wasn’t where he wanted it to be so he tried to move it down more. A week later I went back and he took the stitches out said it looked great and put a strip of tape on it. Which stayed on for a week. I took the tape off yesterday and it looked like shit. I just got out of the shower and looked at it and it is literally a hole. You can see the opening and the bump next to it is the implant itself. It literally hasn’t moved since he put it in. He put me through a lot of pain for nothing and now I have this hole. Nothing has came out of it because it looks bloody. I just don’t know what to do. Like is this normal? Is this part of the healing process or does my body just hate this?

I enjoy not having to worry about taking a pill at the same time every day. Plus it stopped my period to just light spotting which is great because I used to get heavy periods.

Has anyone with Nexplanon had this issue before ? Or is this totally normal? Calling my gyno tomorrow but I can’t go in for another week due to work
