OBGYN not helpful
After TTC #2 for a over a year now my doctor really didn’t offer any further options at my yearly appt yesterday. Over a year ago I didn’t have a cycle for over 3 months and went in for that. Had bloods done and everything was normal so I was told to loose weight and talked about Clomid and letrozole if nothing happened. My periods were more normal but still had long cycles since that. I also had a chemical in January and my doctor didn’t mention it at my last appt. Didn’t ask about anything. Just small talk. After the exam I go to his office and he just asks if I have any questions. So I mentioned everything again I told the nurse about. Main points being since my chemical I haven’t had another period and this cycle is longer. I asked if my cycle doesn’t start should I call him and what would happen? Would he call me in something or do more tests? He responded that all that could be done was to put me on birth control. So now I feel that seems like the minimum. My BMI was 34 when I conceived my first and now it’s 36 but I’m convinced my hormones are effecting that as well. I’m 5’9” 250 and was 230 with my first. Should I see a fertility specialist? My first is 5 now and I feel like he’s not helping me or being very clear about what he’s thinking.
