Extra Artery?

Question

Anyone else’s baby have an extra right pulmonary artery? Dr says that he’s never seen this in 40 years!

Answer

It’s the main artery from the right atrium to the lungs (obviously because pulmonary means lungs) if you’re missing it it’s called acute pulmonary atresia. Three of those may be a problem if you’re talking the main trunk  in the heart and not the branches.
