Hsv1 outbreak??

I tested positive for hsv1 in November. I honestly don’t know how because I get tested regularly (yes I ask specifically for herpes tests) and it never came up, and I use protection but my doctor explained to me that’s it’s other ways to contract the virus as well so I’ve gotten past that. I’ve never gotten a cold sore or genital bumps/sores a day in my life ever but I had sex recently a few hours after shaving and 2 days later bumps started forming on my vagina lip. Would this be me having an outbreak even though I’ve never had one? Or just bumps from friction? I thought hsv-1 was only cold sores.
