How to calm toddler
My daughter has been terrified of loud noises and it’s only getting worse. Just recently the smoke alarms/fire alarms started going off in our building and it lasted for 30 minutes... she was holding her face and she kept saying “ scared” ever since that night she talks about it every night. (We of course went outside our complex and stayed in the car until it was fixed) Then last night we had a thunder storm that was crazy loud and she did the same thing, held her face and kept saying scared until she could fall asleep.. I kept telling her it’s the thunder in the sky and it’s loud but it’ll be okay, reassuring her she is safe with me. Tonight she did the same thing she’s been doing, saying she’s scared and taking about the alarms and the thunder.. also she’s scared of the windows because of the lightning too. Does any one else have a toddler like this? What is working for you guys?? I feel awful I can’t shake her from being scared
