Any vets out there?

Question

For 3 consecutive months now my family’s Labrador retriever has been having a seizure at the beginning of the month. 
We took her to the vet and all her levels were healthy, they said that just happens sometimes to labs and they gave us shots to give her. She is fixed and my dad is worried that maybe the surgery wasn’t completed fully, since the seizures happen monthly and male dogs have still been coming around. Coincidentally my cycle has been synced up with these episodes.
Any thoughts?

Definitely keep track of the seizures and I’d ask for meds if they keep up. My dog has epilepsy, started at about age 2 with seizures every 3 weeks. After the third he was placed on long term meds and has needed them for his whole life. The funny thing I’ve noticed with my dog and his seizures are every time he has one, it’s during a full moon! So there are some weird coincidences I’ve observed over the years.

In my 8 years working with animals (not a vet though sorry) I have never seen a dog have seizures due to them being in heat or even a failed spay or neuter for that matter. Plus her cycle and yours would not sync. And if you say other dogs are attracted to her though she is spayed, dogs have a much stronger and different sense than us so they can probably "smell" the issues she has but honestly I see it all the time where my fixed male dogs want spayed females or non spayed or non fixed males wanting fixed females just bc that's how they are sometimes. Seizures are very tricky a dog can have a seizure from so many things or nothing at all. I used to see dogs have seizures on the operating table but never had one before and never had one after. And at least where I am we won't prescribe a dog long term medication for seizures unless they have them so often. Like if they have one or two a month, we won't prescribe anything, not unless they are very severe. One of my five dogs had a seizure about two years ago and that's the only time she had one, my in-laws old dog just started having seizures around Thanksgiving but hasn't had any this month sooo... Again seizures are tricky. I hope your pup is doing alright and I hope y'all get to figure out a way to help her if it does continue!

Seizures indicate issues with the brain. It has nothing to do with heat and your dog is fixed so she has no heat cycle. Sounds like you don’t trust your vet. Get a second opinion.

Not a vet but Are you giving the dog any flea/tick prevention medicine. I’ve seen that cause seizures in my dog group.

Dogs don’t have monthly cycles. They usually go into heat every 6 months. If the surgery wasn’t complete you’d likely have problems like an infection or continued symptoms of heats, not seizures. See different vet or take her back if they persist/get worse, since her blood work came back normal if they continue it’s likely epilepsy.
