Does a military spouse claiming their spouses rank count as stolen valor?

Saw a TikTok tonight that got me thinking... Are military spouses claiming their spouses rank count as stolen valor?
The TikTok used this situation: husband is an Officer & the wife (civilian - she’s not in the military) is saying “I’m Mrs Officer Lastname” & “my husband is an Officer so am I”.
Isn’t that **technically** stolen valor??

I don't know about stolen valor, but it is fucking tacky as hell! Women like that make me ashamed to be a military wife. The only reason I whip out my husband's job is for job interviews if asked and if I get a military family member discount (and I usually don't even do that very often).

It’s not just tacky, but rude. My husband works hard & I don’t get to take that credit. Being a military spouse can definitely be hard and you do make a lot of sacrifices, but you don’t get to take credit for the work your spouse is doing. People have such a bad image of military wives in their head because of stuff like this. You’ll never catch me taking credit for my husbands work, just like you’ll never catch him taking credit for mine.

Hahaha my husband is an officer and I would never say that. I am certainly not an officer. I wouldn’t survive basic training, let alone OCS. 😂🤦‍♀️

Saying “Mrs Officer Lastname” might not be because not that long ago women went by “Mrs Husband’s First and Last name.” That’s what’s written in my grandma’s cookbooks. So it might be a similar idea since he’s address as his rank and last name. But to claim because he’s an office then so is she is completely false. If she were a true military wife, she would know and respect that he earned his commission. She didn’t. That’s like saying since I hold a master’s degree so does my husband. No he doesn’t.
