Snake on rug

So I bought this rug from wayfair for my living room. It’s black and white with a snake on it. I have Christian backgrounds and I’m getting better spiritually with God. But my mom thinks it’s bad because it’s a snake on it. But I feel like it’s just a rug. If I felt like it represented evil I wouldn’t have gotten, a snake is a reptile that God made as well. It sheds new skin when it’s growing and I feel like I’m at that point in life rn. If it was evil it’s no different than her listening to sexual music or music with cussing. Should I return the rug? What do you think?

I’m Christian. It’s a fricken rug🤦🏽‍♀️😂 keep the rug if you like it. If it stresses you pray about it or consult god, but I’m pretty sure it will be fine. There are different extremes with Christianity- i personally think your relationship with god and how you treat your fellow man is far more important than the decoration on your rug

I think it's just a rug with a snake, it's your rug & if you don't see it as representating evil, I'd say it doesn't.

It's ridiculous to see any animal as "evil". Especially fake carpet animals. If you like the carpet, keep it. Things only have meaning when you give them meaning.

Maybe it reminds her of how the devil disguised himself as a snake to tempt Eve to eat the apple. Just a thought 🤷🏻‍♀️ totally sounds like something my mom would say too if I got that kind of rug
