Does weed cause more frequent outbreaks?

I started eating weed edibles last November for anxiety. But since then i’ve had maybe two herpes outbreaks. It took about 2 months for the November outbreak to go away. I stopped eating the edibles, then the outbreak got better. Recently I started taking them again, and noticed that my outbreak is back. I’m starting to think weed is causing my outbreaks. I read weed can suppress your immunity or something like that.

Has anyone experienced something similar? I don’t usually have outbreaks, but I have had a lot of anxiety since November. So it maybe just be a coincidence. Thanks!
