Sick friends
So, does anyone else have issues with friends who are feeling sick or covered in poison oak or coughing wanting to make plans? I feel like this is rude since they know I'm pregnant but I don't know how to turn them down! My friend today was coughing on the phone, said both she and her daughter were sick all week, but she wants to make me lunch.
Update: I told her I can't because I don't want to get sick and she totally got mad because I'm a nurse. Most of my patients are post surgical! They wouldn't have gotten their plastic surgery or expensive new hip if they were sick! The others are sick with things that you get when immunocompromised! And I take special precautions around them. Also, I have to work to support this family, the benefit is worth the slight risk. I don't have to hang out with sick friends! Sorry, venting but seriously!!!
