So I want to move into my own place by may 1 but I honestly have no idea what i should be doing or if what I am doing is correct. I am searching for a place on apartments.com Zillow etc. I know I need to have aleast 4 months saved plus pay a deposit but I feel like I am missing something because none of the places I’ve reached out to have gotten back to me. I was supposed to be moving out with bf on April 1 but Honestly he doesn’t seems too interested and I can’t wait around for him anymore plus I feel like I am putting stress on him when I bring up the topic. So I just wanna get my own place for now. Can anyone help me

Ps I live in New York and my college is in New Jersey so I guess I would say i live in the New York New Jersey area
