So I had started taking birth control when I was about 15 (I’m now 23) mostly to regulate my period. Well, I stopped taking birth control about 3 months ago. For 3 months after that I did not spot or have a period what so ever, last week I started a period and I thought it was going to be normal 5-7 days but it has lasted 7-14 days the second week seems to be stop and go and some days only spotting, then some with blood clots and dark red.

Could it be where I didn’t have a period for so long and it’s just cleaning out. I always had irregular periods before I started taking birth control. At that time I had a period for a month and they had done all these tests and nothing came back.

Has anyone experienced this? Should I be worried???
