Moms- day to self?

Question

Do you guys get days to yourself ever? I’ve been thinking about asking my mom if she would be okay with watching my 18 month old daughter one day each week so I can have a little time to myself. My mom isn’t working and I don’t have a baby sitter. Thoughts? Really never get out and do anything for myself or have any time and I feel like that is important. Anyone do this or something similar?

If my mom lived close to me, or any family for that matter. I'd definitely take time to myself.

You need time alone too. I work Monday-Thursday but my kids (7, 4, 2) still go to daycare/school on fridays. That’s the day I use for me time. It’s amazing.

Yep, my MIL looks after both my girls 2 days a week. I’m at uni 1 day and the other day I spend doing a bit of uni work, but it still feels like a break without the kids haha. And my MIL loves having them over, so it’s a win win!

I would love that but that’s not happening anytime soon. I have no family near me and my husband and I both work full time. My time to myself is the twice a week I drive to and from the office in the afternoon 😂

I would do it! We don’t have any family in the area so I don’t often get self time. My husband works full time and I work part time. Sometimes when husband is home I’ll take a long bath, go get a pedicure or have a beer with my friends.

My husband is a musician and he gets Saturdays to practice with his band. Recently, I asked if it would be okay for me to also have a day for myself a week. So Wednesday nights are Me day.  
Self care it’s important. If you have someone in your life who you trust to take care of your child, please take the time! Happy mommy can only mean better mommy for your kid!

My every other weekly shop on my way home from work is my alone time. If you have the support, take it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Having a day to yourself every now and then is not unreasonable. And it is very important to take care of yourself and your own needs so you can be the best Mom possible for your LO. Take the day. Enjoy it. Do whatever you need to do guilt free. By taking care of yourself, you are taking care of your LO as well.

My mom watches 2 of my kidos 2x a month. But im still stuck with one lol i dont really get a day to myself. Its gotten normal too me
