Changes in periods
Do periods tend to get easier with age? I’m 22 and have had the most intense periods for as long as I can remember. My cramps would be so intense I couldn’t even use the bathroom because trying to relieve hurt so bad. I couldn’t eat. The pain would radiate into my chest and thighs. I overtake medicine, use a heating pad, smoke indicas, drink ginger tea, and not a second of relief. I’d be in bed crying for hours not even being able to pay attention to my phone or tv, calling into school or work one a month since I was 12 (unless I started on a weekend). Out of no where my past 3 periods have been extremely easy. I still have cramps, hot flashes and breast tenderness, but it’s so much less intense that it doesn’t bug me at all and I’ve been able to live my normal life. Is it normal for periods to get easily over time? Should I expect the cramping to return?
