I had an ultrasound today. They’ve been doing them every two weeks because I am high risk and have my cervical length checked.

Previously they saw 2 EIFs ( bright calcium spots) on the babies heart. Didn’t seem concerned said it was pretty common. Today there was only 1 EIF but they said they saw a VSD ( ventricular septal defect) as well as the single EIF. I’m waiting to be scheduled for a fetal echocardiogram.

I had genetic testing (NIPT) done when I was almost 10 weeks. All came back normal / low risk. (I’m 42)

The doctor still doesn’t seem concerned. Said many times these things resolve themselves and don’t cause issues. He said the baby is growing great ( above average weight & length) said if baby has Down’s syndrome or anything like that he would very very surprised.

I am freaking out. Could anyone with experience with these things share their story?!? How did everything turn out ? Did your baby need heart surgery? And chromosomal defects? 😓
