Anyone else feel like they’re not ‘bonding’ with their baby like you expected?

I'm a second time Mum, so this is from personal experience with my first. It's easier second time around (even though at times in different ways harder.)
There's so much pressure on first time mums to do things certain ways, the pressure to be the "perfect mum" and  because 'Sandra's' children are doing XYZ faster than yours.
Please remember every single baby is different.
It's totally normal to feel completely failed and miserable.
And yes that can affect the bond with your baby.
But you know your baby, you know what you and your baby needs, you know you, you can get through anything.
It's totally normal to feel a gap between you and your newborn, emotional wise its completely normal.
Please don't pressure yourself to do what 'Sandra' or social media says. 
Just do you!
Youre not failing!
You're amazing, your baby is fine.
You can and are smashing it.

Yes, I've got 2 under 2 and my toddler keeps me on my toes so I don't get to soak her in as much as I did with my firstborn. But I take advantage of naptime to do skin to skin with her!

With my first child I felt that huge rush of love in the hospital but struggled for the first month or so at home- between dealing with the physical/mental after effects of the birth, learning how to breastfeed and having a baby with reflux I did find it hard to bond initially. It also didn’t help that we were inundated with visitors and I felt like the visitors got all the good bits (snuggling on the couch with the newborn) while I got all the hard bits (feeding, trying to get him to sleep and doing all of the housework). I’m still a little resentful of my MIL for saying she’d come to help but only helping by holding my newborn (who I wanted time to bond with) while I ran around doing everything else. 
This time around I was much more prepared!
