Is comfort nursing a thing? Or wanting to nurse to fall asleep

My baby does this all the time. He will cry and cry just to get on the boob to pass out

Ye as definitely lately yea he has been doing that everytime and he also prefer a certain boob. Also when the milk starts to flow then he gets irritated lol babies you got to love them.

Yeah it is comforting to Bub to feed try do what Alicia said if you can and offer food when baby wakes up so that baby is fully awake and can get a full feeding then when baby is awake for a little after a feed and starts to show signs of being tired or fussing a little it will mean he or she is tired and needs another sleep. Also a pacifier might help with comfort feeding if baby does like to suck to go to sleep I would offer the dummy or just settle baby with other methods like swaddling and white noise some babies will cry a little before they go to sleep as well.

Comfort nursing is a thing. Mine does it to fall asleep too, but we broke mine of that. We got my son on a eat play sleep schedule, that way he doesn’t depend on food/bottle/boob to fall asleep. The only time we allow food before bed is in the middle of the night
