Adopting in the military

I just signed my contract today. I am officially in the army!

So this post is about adopting while in the military. I am active and I plan on retiring in the military after 20 years. I am only 20. I tried for almost a year to have a baby with my ex-partner and I just never got pregnant. We aren’t together but I still want to be a mom 100% and I’m willing to do it alone.

I just have questions as to when I can actually adopt. I can’t adopt a child if I’m living in a singles dorm (at least I think I can’t), so maybe I could adopt after I reach a pay grade high enough for me to live off base but that could take years. Any helpful advice in regards to adopting while in the military?
