Would you keep it?

I have been on the birth control patch for awhile now and i ended up getting pregnant. My boyfriend wants me to get an abortion and he said he would pay for it. i’m kind of undecided, part of me really wants to keep this baby but the other part of me feels like it would be wrong to bring a baby into our situation when i know we would struggle. We’re Both 18 and he would be 19 by the time its born. He leaves for basic training for the military soon and would miss basically the whole pregnancy. i still have one year of high school left. We both planned on having kids in the near future but not this soon, we’ve been together almost 4 years and he loves kids but i get that now might not be the time. I don’t want to regret having an abortion but i feel as if i didn’t get it, i would be disappointing both our families. i’m so torn i don’t know what to do.

It's not about your families opinion, although it may be important.   You can and won't always please them. . I personally wouldn't keep it if I were you.  Only because still in high school , he'll be leaving and pregnancy is hard ( but doable) when you're alone. Hes not ready and BC failed yall . If you really want to keep the baby then keep it and only because you want to , but don't call him a deadbeat or get upset with him if he decides not to be there. He stated he didn't want a baby right this moment. Which seems like he's already checked out on the situation. Keep it if you want , but remember you're going to have to sacrifice a lot.

I found out I was pregnant at 18 and I would never have the heart to abort an innocent life I'm now 19 I'm currently 25 weeks and honestly it's the most beautiful feeling to know you are growing a little human being and feeling them little kicks. That's my opinion honestly do as you wish.

I think you should really weigh yo ur options. Don't bring a child into this world just because you feel you're obligated to, but don't abort for that reason either. Are you financially secure to have a baby? Would you have your own place, car, etc, to take care of that child? Can you afford child care? There's so much that goes into parenting and if you're not ready at this moment that's okay too, there will be another time. Personally, I am in college with a baby and he's the best thing that's ever happened to me. But it is hard asf. But I also have my own money, house, car, & same with the dad (we are together/live together). And we also have that village it takes to raise a kid, but even with that, it's so difficult. But I wouldn't change it. But everyone situation is different so I would really advise you to think about it. Don't go having babies just for the fun of it or thought that you're ready, you much actually be ready for that. & if you're not, that's ok too. There will always be another time.

If i knew i wanted kids soon but just not yet, i absolutely would not abort. Getting pregnant can be tricky and not easy, and you never know what God/the universe will do in the future. Especially if it’s just a timing issue and not a partner issue. I couldn’t imagine aborting this baby and then trying again in a year or two.

When I was pregnant with my son(I was 19)my now husband left for basic and AIT 3 months into the pregnancy. We weren’t married then and he was gone for 4 months. Got married 5 days after he got back so he could be there for the rest of the pregnancy/birth. It’s hard basically doing the whole pregnancy alone especially because my son had a lot birth defects and I was told he wouldn’t live very long after birth, but we don’t regret it. Lots of letters, lots of pictures sent to him, and as many phone calls as I could get. The military took such good care of my husband, my baby and I. I understand where you’re coming from tho, being a young mom is hard in general, but not impossible. it’s your decision on wether you get an abortion. Don’t let anybody talk in or out of it. That’s for you and only you to decide. Good luck❤️

Basic is like 6 weeks long or something. He won’t miss the entire pregnancy because of 6 weeks. I’d get married at the courthouse and go with him to his duty station after basic. 🤷🏻‍♀️ If he doesn’t like that idea and wants to abort after being together 4 YEARS then he’s Probably not ready to marry you, help take care of a baby, and be married to you. 
If you’re married, the military will pay for y’all to move and you and the baby will be on his Tricare health coverage. It’s an easy decision for me, now talk to him about it.

I personally would not be able to have an abortion, no matter how it made anyone feel including the Father!! I personally would not be able to live with myself. I understand abortion, in certain situations is necessary or "for the best" but not necessarily for situations like this (no judgment just my personal opinion) and even though this child wasn't planned, I am a person who believes that all things happen for a reason!! and that this baby is meant to be in this world, and even though right now it may feel like an inconvenience on your lives it could really be a blessing..... And also adoption is a great alternative to abortion! And In my opinion a much better option if in fact you absolutely cannot keep this baby!
