I posted this in Baby, Toddler, and Kid Questions, but I’ll ask y’all since our kids are the same age.

My son is almost 20 months and frequently leaks through his Huggies Overnites size 5. He leaks through Hello Bello and Walmart’s Parents Choice brand, too. Huggies seem to be the ones we have the best luck with.

He does drink a lot of liquids throughout his days, but I think it might be because he’s a belly sleeper. It seems to always be on his clothes around his hips and on his belly, above his diaper line. I think the diaper folds some, opens a bit, and then it comes out.

I’ve tried tightening the straps on the diaper, but I don’t want to put too much pressure on his stomach.

I’m thinking about trying size 6, but he’s relatively small! He’s only 24 lbs and size 5 is 27+ lbs so they’re already pretty big on him. The straps have to overlap significantly.

He isn’t interested in potty training right now. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I get pull ups to go over his diapers?
