Covid risk?

I went to do a curbside at the market and I had no mask on because I wasn’t sure she was coming over and she had her mask below her nose. She was outside of my car at the window (I had my window down) for 10 seconds asking me a question. Is this risky?

Yes, there’s a chance of catching it, as speaking aerosolizes the germs. There’s a reason you’re supposed to stand 6 feet apart with masks FULLY on. I know people that have gotten it without even being in a house at the same time as another person. Just because people are “tired” of being cautious, the risk factors don’t change. It just means they’re more likely to get it and infect others by being less safe.

I see so many people with masks below there nose, it’s pointless. My husband does it and it pisses me off but I’m over it. If you have one in great if not okay, just stay further away from me please. At this point, it’s whatever I’m still going to do what I need to do!

I mean, yeah, but I wouldn’t say it’s a high risk. Plus, the person you got close to might not even be sick or he could have been vaccinated already. 
Keep an eye out, watch for symptoms, and get a Covid test if necessary.

If it was me I’d say no. I’m so tired of this and done living in fear. I’ve ordered furniture threes times since this had started and have had delivery guys come into my house and set it up with only wearing masks below their noses and I stopped caring . If I were you I would just relax a little. It happened already so all you can do is just see if you get symptoms.

It’s technically risky, yes. Any “naked” exposure puts you at risk- and the more often, and the longer the amount of time is- the higher your chances of contraction are. You can also ready yourself to set boundaries: “please move your mask up,” or “please talk to me through the passenger side window,” etc It doesn’t mean you’re going to get Covid now, so try not to stress about it, and focus you’re energy on keeping your mask (and your voice 🙃) handy next time
