My daughter is 2 weeks and we’re still using the shield, I latch her without it once a day so she doesn’t have a hard transition when I take the shield away.

But her latch is poor and without it my nipples hurt so bad, today I went a full day without it and I’m so sore.

She also seems to prefer to latch onto my nipple over the shield (which takes a few times of her rejecting it and crying), but even though she latches on easy she will unlatch a few times before she stays, it takes about 5 minutes to finally get her content enough to not pull off.

Im ebf and I’m nervous that continuing to use the shield is doing more bad than good.
