Is anyone naming their baby born in August August? Is that weird?

I've never heard of a baby born in the month they are named. It's always like my name is April and I was born in December. Which also doesn't make any sense, right? I say if you like the name, name him it. Will you be calling him something short for August?

If you want to name your baby August do it! 
My name is April and I was born in December (for real, had to say that cuz of the comment above 😂, but for real)
My boss is a bitch and has daughter named april. And she says to me at least once a year how she never knew anyone not born in April and named April, and she acts disgusted by my name. 🙄 My mom loved it and so do I. 🤷🏻‍♀️❤️

The name August is on my short list for baby names. My baby is due is August, I didn’t even put it together that he would be born in August and named August 🤦🏻‍♀️ 
Short form would be Gus so I was just thinking of that...

I absolutely love the name August for a boy, but wouldnt pick it due to the fact im due in Aug. If it was any other month i for sure would pick it! X

That seems weird. Just like a baby born in April named April and a baby born in June named June.
