Anyone else got a toddler and a newborn?

How is your toddler coping? How do you manage 2 at once?

It’s been a big adjustment for sure! She is definitely jealous of her sister and will cry when her sister cries for no reason other then to get attention. I’ve definitely gotten frustrated a lot.
She will be 2 years old March 31st.

My 3 YO is finding it tough tbh. She loves her sibling but struggling to share time. I mean it's only been 2 weeks and it's a huge life change for her so I'm guessing it'll just take more time.

My two year old wants to hold his sister all the time. He tries to carry her. Super cute but I can’t leave them alone together even for a second.

I have a 22 almost 23 month old and she is struggling. She likes baby brother, but doesn’t want to hold or touch him really.  She will talk to him and “help out” and imitate the things I do with him so that’s all positive. The only issue we have is her tantrums. Holy terrible twos paired with sleep regression and probably some new baby transition. The past few days we’ve found success giving her more freedom and praising every little positive thing she does and redirecting the negative rather than give consequences (I see your mad/sad about.... let’s do something else so you don’t have to be mad/sad).
Sounds cheesy but it’s been working great 🤞🏻

My 19 month old has been a little jealous of her little brother and tried to hit him a few times during the first two weeks. We are on week four now and she is being more gentle with him and gives him kisses. She is a bit clingier than she was, but it’s a big adjustment for her and she will get there eventually!

My husband goes back to work next week and idk how I'm gonna do it.. my baby is 3 weeks and then the other kiddo is 23 months and she doesn't really care for her baby sister 😅 she'll sit by us and stare but that's about it haha

My 3 year old looooooves her baby brother. She was a worry for her grandma because she thought for sure she may get jealous but she never has. This is her baby lol. Every morning she wakes up she comes in my room and climbs in the bed. The moment he opens an eye she is right there. 
If I pump she talks with me about my milk etc.
She is obsessed with holding him. Everything. She was the baby before this baby. I have 5 kids now and the older 3 all love to be involved as well. I am exhausted most days but everyone wants to help in some way so it helps me when daddy is working.

I’ve got a 6 year old and a 2 year old and they both love their 4 week old baby brother, but my 2 year old has had a really hard time adjusting. They will have some regressive behavior like acting like a baby. Totally normal. Try to ask them to help out with the baby in little ways like asking them to hand you a diaper or bottle for the baby. Then praise them for being a big boy or girl. It’s a hard stage, but it will pass. I read that little kids go through the 5 stages of grief when you bring a baby home-denial, anger, bargaining, sadness and finally acceptance.

My toddler is the best big sister ever help me out and kiss the baby every hour that baby is up but lately she also has been a little cry cry and screaming no at everything.
