Does lavender oil help cut?

I have stitches down below from giving birth 2 weeks ago, someone recommended lavender oil in the bath to help the healing proses? 
Can anyone relate to this? 
If so how many drops in the bath? 
How long to sit in the bath for?

I’ve read that lavender is good for burns, haven’t read anything about cuts (but that doesn’t mean it’s not true). This is expensive but an actual lifesaver for postpartum and there’s lavender in it so I’m sure just plain lavender would help! Just make sure you’re getting good quality oils. It shouldn’t say not to use on skin and if it does definitely do not use for your baths.
