Recommendations for floor?

Who else has hardwood floors?!😩 what are you guys putting down so babe doesn’t keep smacking there head when they tip over? We have a very large foam mat, but I honestly feel like it’s not enough padding!

I have the foam flooring in our playroom, some rugs on the floor in the family room, and if I put her down in the living room by the tv, I set her on a blanket that’s folded in half. She tipped over last night and managed to bonk her head on the floor because she just missed the blanket, but when I picked her up, she was okay. 
Baby will hit his/her head more times than you can count, especially when learning to sit up and/or crawl. They’re pretty resilient!
(Yes that’s a clean, brand new cat litter pan scooper she’s chewing on 💀)

I have a huge foam mat in our living room as our rug but I really really want the rug gable ! It’s just so expensive

I use the foam mat on our wood floors. The first time she fell back, she screamed but I think mostly because it scared her. We practice falling over (I gently guide her back) and now she is better when she tips. I also put blankets around her to add a little more cushion. Once she starts crawling and walking though I know there’s no way to prevent it. I can’t put a foam mat on every inch unless I keep her in a playpen. I know bumps will happen and she is okay.

I have foam tiles in both her play areas. Honestly I feel like no matter what there’s going to be a bonked head or two.
