I have been with my husband a total of 2 years and 3 months. We have been married for almost 1 year now. He had a 9 year old son already when we got together (now he's 11). We currently have an 11 month old together. We have been having a lot of issues lately (jobs, money, stress, etc.) But the biggest issue recently has been our 11 year olds behavior. He used to be the sweetest kid, but recently has started acting out, doing things he knows he is not supposed to do and we are at a loss. This weekend my husband took him for a drive to talk to him. I guess I'm saying all of this just to ask what the heck I am supposed to do? I have never raised a child myself and honestly have no clue what I am doing. My husband works long hours usually so for a good portion of our relationship I have had to be disciplinarian and the "main" parent in a way. I know he is my stepson, but I love him like he is my own flesh and blood and I don't know what I am doing wrong. Any advice would be immensely appreciated and honestly words of encouragement would be appreciated as well.
