What questions should you ask a plastic surgeon during a consultation? Also, if this applies to you, what made you choose one doctor over another?

Answer

A good plastic surgeon will take before photos from the beginning, takes notes, you can ask to see before and after photos (of his or her own work). 
You can ask how long they've been practicing for, how many procedures they do a month (and how many of yours do they do), and what their complication rate is. Ask them what is their protocol for post op complications, how many follow ups you get that are included in the surgery fee, what do you need to do to prepare for the surgery (what their expectations of you are).
