Bleeding question (tmi no pics!)

I'm 8 days pp (son born on the 23) I bled for 2 days, it was fairly light. Now I just have discharge that's sometimes orangery or yellowish. Is this normal? I know my doc had to go in with a metal hook thing to remove the placenta but would that even affect the bleeding? I bled super heavy for about 4 weeks after my first, so not bleeding much now with weird discharge is making me worry. Normal or should I be calling my ob?
