So small back story, my manager thought it would be fun to do a poll and a gender reveal during our staff meeting. So I got team boy and team girl wristbands and a balloon to pop with confetti.

Also another side note I am an advocate for LGBTQ+

So someone approached my manager and stated that gender reveals are offensive because it should be a sex reveal. Assigning the gender at birth is wrong.

While I get what they mean I am upset. My baby does not have the cognitive ability to choose if it wants to be a man or woman when it is older. Im sorry that I should have been more clear that I am announcing if it has a penis or a vagina.

So now instead of my fun balloon idea we are doing a name reveal 🙄 I don't even want to do anything anymore because they took my happy excitement and made me feel like a dick for no reason.

They really didn't mean to hurt my feelings and were just trying to advocate for LGBT but Jesus christ im emotional and this made me so upset.

So that was yesterday. Fast forward to today At lunch there were still 10 team boy team girl bracelets on the table and I went to get my Tupperware at the end of the day and they are all gone.

I know most people got their guesses so it wasn't just they all got used up. We have only 12 people in the office and I put 12 of each down.

I'm sad, I'm defeated, I've cried, I've yelled. Why does someone think they can just do that? Ugh rant over sorry yall
