Pregnant or birth control side effects?
Bear with me, this is a long post.
I've been on and off birth control for years now and I've recently gotten back on it after being of for a few months, with this being about halfway through my second month of being consistently on it. Last month I didn't do a very good job of taking it at consistent times but since I've become sexually active as of recently, I have started to get strict about a regimen. I did have a period of a couple of days between packs because my prescription had expired and I had to wait to go to the gynecologist to renew it. She told me because of this I should use back up birth control methods for a little while. I had unprotected sex with my partner one morning (after consistently being smart about using condoms, I realize it was a mistake now and am suffering from the consequences obviously), but he did not finish inside and I took an emergency contraceptive that same day to be sure because my period tracker had that morning as a predicted beginning of what could have been a fertile window. However, this wasn't my first time ever using Plan B so I'm fearful that maybe it wasn't effective. The last couple of days I have been breaking out crazy with acne, have sore breasts, and am slightly nauseous. I also have a UTI and am taking antibiotics for it currently (so there's definitely no sex). I've looked up side effects of my birth control and acne and sore breasts are all included, but I've also been on this birth control on and off for a few years without ever experiencing this. Could it possibly be manifesting now since I've just now started taking the birth control at the same time? I've taken a few pregnancy tests but I know that it might be too early to tell and plan on waiting until Friday to take another one...I'm just scared of the possibility as I'm a 20 year old student currently. I accept the responsibility and consequence of my actions obviously and am looking into an action plan in the scenario that I am pregnant, but I guess I just wanted to ask you guys if you know of anything like this happening with birth control? Thanks so much.
