When is the earliest you can travel with a newborn ?

I’m due may 17th and I plan to go to my hometown because I haven’t seen my mom since almost two years and I miss her so much and it is very important for me that she sees her granddaughter. I will stay there for at least three months

Ask you babies ped doc. Our pediatrician says min 4 months old for flying is her recommendation. It varies a ton though so just ask the doctor and see what they suggest.

I think it’ll depend on how far you’re traveling and how much help you’ll have as it could be super overwhelming. 
We’re due end of July- if all goes well and I’m recovered we may take baby to meet up with my parents down the shore about 4 weeks later just for a few days. Our hotel has full service rooms (even full kitchen) and my parents will be there so we’ll have a lot of help and will be able to enjoy ourselves even if we don’t leave the hotel much. Since baby will be so little we don’t have to worry about him crawling around on carpets, etc.

I would also personally wait until after they have had their 6 week immunisations

Honestly it depends on how far it is and if you have someone who can travel with you, by yourself is fine it just may be harder..As long as you can make stops along the way to feed/change you can travel whenever.. i wouldn't do it if just my hubby was taking the baby because I will be breastfeeding. Give yourself a couple weeks to recover and get rest then whenever your comfortable go for it.
