Swing set worth it?

We have a pretty decent size backyard and my baby is just turning 1 and I was thinking a swing set would be fun but they seem pretty expensive so wondering if they’re worth it? We really like hanging out in the backyard but we have dogs so it’s not like he can just crawl around in the grass. He’s so close to walking so I don’t want to spend a bunch on an outdoor play yard or something like that.

Would love your suggestions and if you have a swing set is it worth it?

We don’t live close to any parks with swings which is what prompted me to want a swing set
