my LO is 5weeks & he won't sleep unless he's on my chest so thats how we sleep at night (dangerous and stupid yes i know) but as soon as i put him in his cot, he wakes up within 5 minutes and starts crying. i wouldnt mind leaving him to cry but he stops breathing when he cries too much & i cant let it get to that point anymore.

i don't know what to do. he doesnt settle anywhere else and im terrified i'll wake up one day and the worst will happen but i can't let him scream so much he stops breathing because i also house share and don't want to disturb the other residents at night.

how do i solve this problem? he's my first child and im only a young parent and its getting so overwhelming to the point where i dread night times. please help!
