Sex with someone new after a long term relationship

Hi guys, so I was with my ex for a good 3 years. He was the person I lost my virginity to. The sex was amazing we did it at least once a week but the relationship just wasn't working anymore even though we still really love each other. I was wondering, how do you cope with having no sex after being so used to getting it so often? Especially when toys are just not the same! And how do you know when you feel ready to have sex with someone new and after how long. Any tips 👀
