My MIL has good days and also bad days. i’m 21 weeks pregnant and she keeps making MY pregnancy about her. She DEMANDED she be in the delivery room with me and my husband . which even if covid wasnt around that’s an absolute hell no. Didn’t even ask, just demanded. Then said to give her keys to MY house so she and HER family could stay at my house when i give birth so they can see the baby when we get home . What pissed me off the most is she just keeps demanding! And feels like she has a golden ticket to my child. her excuses are always “well IM the grandma” like OKAY AND? IM the mother! and what’s worse is my husband LETS her do all this. Just let’s her try and control everything. So he told her yes to being at my house, so i texted her MYSELF and told her NO ONE is allowed over until IM okay with it and i say so. My gender reveal is also this weekend and she demanded she know the gender BEFORE ME. she said “i’m the grandma and i need to know” like you will not know before the parents and how dare you act so entitled. She’s always trying to belittle my position as the parent. My husband is a mommas boy and will never put her in her place bc as he says “shes just trying to help” and only ever stands up to her when it affects HIM. but forget MY feelings right? i’m so tired of her feeling entitled and overstepping her position. and i know it’s only gonna get worse when the baby is here. Anyone else have this issue?
