Doona carseat

Question

Anyone used the Doona carseat? Im super cheap but this thing looks amazing. Whats the age/weight limit on it? Like will my baby be able to use it atleast a year? I want all the pros and cons!

but literally, spend $300 to get 10 YEARS out of this? oh hell yeah. using stimulus to purchase graco 4ever for baby #2. we have the exact one in the link and will be getting it again for this baby. pic he’s obviously not in the car so not strapped lol so don’t come at me

Random link. I hate the doona seat lol 😂😂 and so did my kids. They always cried and they were to big for it by 6-7 months. But when we used the other seat (in our other car) they never cried 🤷🏻‍♀️ plus it’s way to short- I’m only 5’2 and hate that. My SIL is 4’11 and she didn’t like it to low

I have a Graco 4Ever and an Extend2Fit. I much prefer the Extend2Fit and I’ll just buy a belt positioning booster when the time comes because by that point the car seat will be gross anyway. The Extend2Fit is only $100-150 and will give you years of rear facing protection. In the photo below, my daughter (3) is in the 4Ever and son (5) is in the Extend2Fit.

I told my aunt it wasn’t worth it and wouldn’t last her. She ignored my advice, still bought it and end up selling it when her daughter was 8 months. Doesn’t last and it’s heavy.

Hate doona.. we love the slim fit. 
We don’t have to buy any other seat. We switch them to this at 3 months and they’ll stay in it til like 7-9 years old. Whenever they hit the 110lbs 😂 it doesn’t have a booster without the back thing but I’m glad. The one my brother used- Graco 4ever- is a terrible booster seat. To bulky

I LOVED LOVED my Doona. My son outgrew his around 6/7 months but he’s off the charts for height, and in the 90th percentile for weight. I still don’t regret buying it. It was super convenient to carry in and out of the car, to doctors appointments etc. I was very sad when my son didn’t fit in his anymore (width wise, he has wide shoulders). I have mine tucked away in our spare room for our next baby ❤️  So basically if price isn’t an issue I would say go for it. Just keep in mind that if you or your husband are on the taller side it probably won’t last you a year. My fiends daughter still fits in hers at 14 months but she’s on the smaller side.

Thanks yall! That totally answers my question. I wanted real reviews. This is our 5th baby but we have our daughter who is handicapped. She cant walk so i was wanting something for the new baby that would be easy when we all go places. A stroller is so bulky. But all the negative reviews on it is exactly what i was worried about. My husband and i kept debating with it because its so expensive.
