Am I out?

I'm currently 8DPO and my period isn't due for another 3/5 days (app says 3 days but I ovulated on cycle day 17 rather than 14 so expect it might be due a bit later) and I've woken up this morning to find that when I wipe there's a brownish discolouration on the tissue.

I normally show brown discharge the day before or day of AF arriving but never this soon. I don't want to hope it's implantation bleeding as I know that's so rare but just feel super deflated and like I'm out this month now.

Has anyone else got this and then got their BFP? (I know every woman, every body and every pregnancy is different but would be good to know if I still have a chance or to just mentally prep myself for next month)
