Why do people make these comments?

Does anyone else have this issue?

I don’t smoke, at all, yet so many people comment about my face saying “you look like you smoke”. Maybe it’s because these days I haven’t been wearing makeup but now I’m wondering if maybe it will help? I’m tired of hearing that comment and can’t help that I just have what most people call a “resting bitch face”. Has anyone else gone through this? Any advice on how to help that cause I know I can’t fix it I was just born that way.
