Should I use a sound machine for baby?

I’m worried baby will get too used to it and not be able to sleep in places where there will be noise or we won’t have the machine with us ..

tbh i use it specifically for that reason. so if we go somewhere or there’s something going on in my house all i have to do is put on the sound machine and they’re out like lights. there’s a whole psychological science behind using a sound machine too if you’re interested into it a bit further

It’s better for them to sleep with a bit of noise vs complete silence. You can use apps etc to bring the noise with you but you can’t bring silence with you.

Also prefer to use a pink noise instead of white.pink noise is natural compared to white and a lot better for babies even for adults

We used one. We live in a raised ranch with everything on one floor. We used the sound machine for soothing and to block out the creaky floors. But hers hooks onto her bed so it's easy to take places. You could also download apps or use YouTube for sound. I also bought a little $10 bluetooth speaker and hook it up to my phone or our tablet. My daughter can sleep in places without noise but she likes music

We have a portable one I use in the car etc but honestly she’s slept plenty of times without it.
