Opinions? Am I too overweight to TTC?

I am 5'7" and i weigh 198 pounds.  My BMI is around 31 and I am apparently considered obese? Do you ladies think my body is healthy enough to carry a child? In my opinion I don't look obese, I am a little overweight but for my big bone structure it doesnt make that big of a difference does it? Will it effect my baby if I am overweight?

I'm 5'8 and about 190ish lbs and my doctor said it wouldn't hurt to lose some but that it wasn't a requirement. I think we're similar enough in weight and height for that to apply to you too!

I was exactly your height and weight when I conceived my first. He’s three now and perfect. I was about twenty pounds heavier when I conceived my second. I’m 28 weeks pregnant now and baby is doing great and my health is good. Working on your health while trying to conceive or in preparation would be a great idea, but could you potentially carry a healthy pregnancy? Definitely.

I think you'll be fine. I was (and still am) considered obese and I got pregnant and had a healthy pregnancy with my son. I am currently TTC.

I was 5'4 and 189 when I conceived my daughter five years ago.  Granted I wasn't trying at the time so I can't say how hard it would have been.  But my doctors never made it seem like it was an issue.

I'm 5 foot even and 190 and my dr said nothing about my weight. I think you look fine!

I'm around you guys' size too & I went to my ob for a pre-conception checkup & she didn't mention my weight at all.
