33 weeks and period like cramps?

I’m 33 weeks diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes and this is my second pregnancy. I am having a lot of period like cramps right above my pubic area. It’s really uncomfortable. I didn’t experience this with my first. Is there anyone else experiencing this?

I’m 34 weeks and having cramps on a off. I don’t think they are BH because my stomach isn’t tightening that I can tell.

Could be Braxton Hicks

Braxton Hicks or maybe round ligament pain would be my guess! Talk to your dr at your next appointment about it but if it just feels like a period cramp you should be fine

I experienced this during my last pregnancy and they brought me in for monitoring. The period like cramps were actually contractions and I had no idea! I had to go to L&D to get meds to stop them, so I’m really glad I called them about it.  Everyone is different with their symptoms so talking to your dr is always a good idea when you have a bad feeling about something. Could be BH or just stretching, but you won’t know until you get checked out if your cervix is changing.
