Ok this has been a exciting and exhausting week since baby has been discharged from the NICU. Has anyone experienced no bowel movements for 4+ days in premature baby? He is on breast milk and formula (fortified).

I’m super worried as he occasionally grunts and pushing as if he wants to let something come out but nothing is coming out.

Pediatrician is not worried since breastfed babies can go 7 days with out BM? He still eating and sleeping as usual but once can tell there is little discomfort because of the lack of BM
