When can I start diffusing clary sage?

I was planning to diffuse clary sage whilst in labor but I recently read it can help induce labor? Can I start diffusing early? Maybe around 38 weeks?

I’d wait until 39 at least. 39 is when baby reaches optimal brain and lung development.
