What is everyone's opinion on my baby name?

So I want to name my son Damien but  my mother is trying to talk me out of it because she said it's a evil name that represent the Devil. I looked it up and it doesn't say anything about the devil. I thinks it's a cute name.

The only reason people would equate that name with evil is because the name of the devil's son in "The Omen" is Damien.

One of my bff has a son named Damian, and at first everyone gave her flack, but he's just Damian now. He's a big sweetheart (seriously, he's a very sensitive, nerdy, goofy little boy, so cute.)  and 9 now so he has changed a lot of perceptions. Nothing evil at all. :)

I LOVE the name Damien and wish I could use it but my religious family said the exact same thing, even though there's nothing to support it. My dad says it looks to close to the word demon. I still LOVE it

It used to be a fairly popular name until the omen came out and is know associated with a demon child. If you like the name go for it but just know that people are rude and will probably feel the need to point this out to you constantly.

Would a different spelling work- like Damian?  But either way, you name your baby whatever you want!! That's the perk of carrying him for 9 long months.

I Love the name... It was on our short list as a middle name for our 3rd... but turns out we're having a girl.. All if our kids start with a T.... but we loved the name as a middle
