Will I have to sign for this package?

I ordered an iPad and Apple pencil off Amazon. It is being shipped with USPS and should be here on Monday. 
There's a chance I won't be home when it is delivered. My husband said it might need signed for.
It won't fit in my apartment mailbox, so they would have to set it outside my door. 
Has anyone had to sign for a package they ordered from Amazon?

I think it depends on how the person who shipped it set it up. Packages I’ve received that needed to be signed for usually stated in the tracking information.

They delivered my husbands PS5 to the front door of our apartment that faces the street. We were home, and never knew because the guy didn’t even knock! Luckily it wasn’t stolen. They hardly have you sign for anything anymore.

Doubt you’ll have to sign for it. That’s something that has to be set up once you pay for it
My husband bought a 50” tv off of Amazon and they delivered by my front door with nobody home 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ive ordered a $400 entertainment system that weighed 150 lbs that didn’t need a signature and I’ve ordered $8 placemats that came in a bubble mailer that did need a signature. It depends how the sellers set it up. If you’re not home and they need it they’ll leave a note to reschedule delivery or let you get it at the post office.
