Hello-

I am 44 y.o. and will be 45 in August. I've been experiencing perimenapause symptoms for over 5 years.

Random periods, in-between spotting, moody, hot flashes etc. But for the last year my periods were pretty regular. And now all of a sudden I am 9 days late. Breaststroke are killing me. I have a weird metal taste in my mouth. I've been super tired and anxious. I took a pregnancy test from CVS on Saturday. It was negative.

😞 it is ok that it was but just feels like a slap in the face from the Universe that I am getting old. About 5 years ago my ex and I found out that I most likely was diagnosed with perimenopause and couldn't get pregnant or at least sustain a pregnancy due to hormone levels.

Fast forward, new partner. Don't use contraception and 3 months in, no period? Wish I knew what was going on in this ol body of mine. I don't want to be old. And now I'm scared. I don't have anyone (women) I can talk to about what to expect or should be expecting or and would like to know what others have experienced.

Any thoughts?
