Naming Baby After Living Family Member

My husband and I are considering using my grandma’s name because she’s the only one that’s always been there for me no matter what. I want it to be a surprise but should I ask her for permission first? My other family members have gaslit me my entire life so now I second guess everything. I don’t think she’d be upset if I did it but I’m worried she won’t appreciate not being asked. What would you do?
