Items for changing table/station?

Question

Hi ladies! First time mom here! Other than diapers and wipes, what items do you have on hand at the changing table? Baby powder? Diaper rash ointments? I’m in the US. Please be specific :) I am looking to make a trip to the store soon to stock up. 
Also, what kind of “meds” should I have on hand? Baby Tylenol? Thanks!

Diaper rash cream (Resinol & Calmlseptine are wonders for a diaper rash), rectal thermometer, diapers and wipes. Those are the basics. 😊

I kept it pretty minimal. Other than the obvious, I have a big tub of Aquaphor at hand and some rags to wipe up any run away poop/pee.

I have a dresser as a change table so lots is inside but what's always handy is: 
diapers, wipes, Vaseline (I use it every diaper change to prevent diaper rash), diaper cream (for when there's a bad rash), corn starch (instead of baby powder), nail clippers, nose Frieda, toys, disposable change pads (for when you know there's a blow out instead of having to wash and sanitize the change pad or clean a shitty cover), diaper bags (to throw those blowout diapers in before they go in the diaper Genie because no way in heck was I trying to roll those suckers up with poop all over them 😂)

I like having some disposable changing pads. That way I could put one down when baby had a blow out and didn’t have to get the washable pad/changing cover poopy. Those have saved a lot of laundry 😂 I only use diaper rash cream when they have a rash but all I use is the natural Boudreaux's Butt Paste. For medicines I always have Tylenol, motrin (when baby is 6 months old) saline nose mist, gripe water, zarbees chest rub, and zarbees cough syrup. Most of zarbees products are 2+month -up.

We had alcohol pads (hospital provided) at our changing station until baby’s cord fell off and healed. Vaseline needs to be handy if you’re having a boy and having him cut. I liked extra receiving blankets for extra icky ness and an extra sleeper in case i got her undressed and found she leaked somewhere. Lotion was a must and if you plan to use powder, I’d imagine that’s also good to grab. 
As for baby meds, gripe water and saline spray was really all we used often, but having Tylenol and baby vicks (Zarbees brand) was needed, amd getting a good nose sucker that we could CLEAN AMD FULLY DRY (many like the nose freida, but we used a bulb that opened to wash and dry).

I use a dresser for my changing table, so I have the drawers full of different items. I keep my first aid kit in my dresser so it’s easy to access when I’m doing diaper changes. I keep my Nosefrida, thermometer, electric nail file, clippers, etc in there. I have a little drawer organizer for different ointments like hydrocortisone, Aquaphor, Cerave cream, diaper rash cream (I like Pain in the Butt, Boudreauxs butt paste, and Earth Mama), Zarbees face balm, neosporin, and saline solution. In that same drawer I keep some diapers and my Bumco diaper cream spatula. 
In another drawer I keep lots of extra bamboo changing pad liners and muslin burp cloths. When my son was little and he had no control over his pee I would throw a burp cloth over him to prevent it from spraying everywhere, so they were handy to have. I also keep BOS bags for smelly solid diapers to wrap them up before throwing them in the diaper pail, and extra diaper pail trash bags in the drawer for easy trash changes. I have an Ubbi and I use unscented Kirkland trash bags inside. I absolutely hate any artificial fragrance, especially when used in the nursery where my baby sleeps, which is also why I use BOS bags for individual diapers instead of the Munchkin bags.
